Configuring Outlook Express

  1. Open Outlook Express
  2. Click Tools > Accounts
  3. Click Add > Mail
  4. Your Name
    Enter a Display Name in the Display Name field
    Example: John Q. Public
    Click Next
  5. Internet Email Address
    Enter your e-mail address in the E-mail address field
    Example: john@myemail.com
    Click Next
  6. E-mail Server Names
    Choose POP3 from the drop down list
    Enter mail.epolk.net for the Incoming mail server
    Enter mail.epolk.net for the Outgoing mail server
    Click Next
  7. Internet Mail Logon
    Enter your entire email address in the Account Name field
    Example: john@myemail.com
    Enter your password in the Password field
    Be sure the Remember password box is checked
    Click Next
  8. Click Finish
  9. From the Internet Accounts screen choose the account just created
    Click Properties
  10. Choose the Servers tab
  11. Check the My server requires authentication box
    Click OK
  12. Click Close

Outlook Express is now configured.

Configuring Outlook 2003

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Click Tools > Email Accounts
  3. Choose the Add a new e-mail account button
    Click Next
  4. Server Type
    Choose the POP3 button
    Click Next
  5. Internet E-mail Settings
    Enter your Name in the Your Name Field
    Example: John Q. Public
    Enter your e-mail address in the E-mail Address field
    Example: john@myemail.com
    Enter mail.epolk.net in the Incoming mail server field
    Enter mail.epolk.net in the Outgoing mail server field
    Enter your entire email address in the User Name field
    Example: john@myemail.com
    Enter your password in the Password field
    Be sure the Remember password box is checked
    Click the More Settings button
  6. Choose the Outgoing Server tab
  7. Check the My outgoing server requires authentication box
    Click OK
  8. Click Next
  9. Click Finish

Outlook 2003 is now configured.
